M1231 HUSKY Red Pack: Updated Corrosion Mitigation Procedures
BLUF:
Mitigate any corrosion damage found on the HUSKY Red Pack per guidance provided in MAM 23-025.
Maintenance leaders, TACOM maintenance action message (MAM) 23-025 provides corrosion mitigation procedures for known corrosion issues with the M1231 HUSKY Red Pack (spare parts trailer).
Units should pay special attention to the roof areas and the L-bracket which have been found to have corrosion issues. Note that if the L-bracket (welded frame structure) needs replacing, you must notify your supervisor or LAR for higher level repairs. Have your CAC handy and get the corrosion mitigation procedures
HERE
.
Note:
TACOM MAM 21-047 identified corrosion issues with the vehicle roof area of the M1231 HUSKY truck and provided corrosion mitigation procedures. The message didn’t contain mitigation procedures for the Red Pack. Continue to follow the procedures outlined in the message for the truck when you perform PMCS. You can read MAM 21-047
