AGSE: How to Get a Windshield Wiper Arm for SATS

BLUF: Standard Aircraft Towing System TM lists duplicate NSN for the wiper blade and no NSN for the wiper arm
 
Mechanics, there’s a challenge ordering the standard aircraft towing system (SATS) windshield wiper arm you should know about. If you order it using NSN 2090-01-617-6352, PN 302-1180, as shown in Item 1 of Fig 109 of TM 1-1740-221-13&P (Feb 15), you’ll get a windshield wiper blade, instead. That’s because the NSN and part number are for the blade and they’re incorrectly duplicated in the TM.
 
Make a note that the AGSE product office is in the process of identifying a part number and NSN for the wiper arm so it can be provisioned. They’ve also submitted a DA Form 2028 to correct the duplicate NSN in the TM.
 
In the meantime, you can order the windshield wiper arm from the vendor. You can view a copy of the milSuite post and vendor quote HERE. Keep in mind that vendor price and lead time may change based on the date it is ordered and the shipping location.
