Special Interview: Mark Koloc - WWII Halftrack Restorer

PS Magazine recently had a chance to interview Lt. Col. Mark Koloc (Ret.), who has restored a World War II-era US Army M16 halftrack vehicle dubbed “The African Queen.” It was a difficult project, considering the age of the vehicle and its deteriorated state. Aside from the historical significance of the project, Soldiers should take note not only of the diligence and care Koloc put into restoring the halftrack, but the work he continues to put into it to keep it in good working order. That’s the kind of pride in ownership and dedication that it takes to keep modern Army vehicles and equipment combat ready.
