Mechanics, when you perform composite repairs on your helicopter, always use the appropriate maintenance manuals. For Blackhawk helicopter composite repairs, use TM 1-1520-237-23&P (Apr 23), TM 1-1520-246-23&P (Apr 23) and TM 1-1520-280-23&P (Apr 23). For Apache composite repairs, use TM 1-1520-Longbow/Apache (Aug 23).  For Chinook helicopter composite repairs not specifically covered in TM 1-1520-271-23&P (May 23), use TM-1500-204-23-11 (Aug 13) Advanced Composite Material General Maintenance and Practices.

Make a note that while TM 1-1500-204-23-11 does contain composite repair procedures they should only be used if a repair is not listed in the appropriate aircraft maintenance manual and after consulting with quality control personnel. Remember, aircraft maintenance manuals take precedence over the general aircraft maintenance manuals.
