M93 Fox: Centrifugal Fan - Updated Configuration
Sgt. Shejal Pulivarti
The M93 Fox's centrifugal fan, NSN 4140-01-234-8170 (Green) and NSN 4140-01-646-3016 (Tan), is a major component of the gas particulate filter unit, NSN 4240-01-621-5143 (Green) and NSN 4240-01-615-1867 (Tan), that supports multiple collective protective equipment platforms.
TACOM has developed an updated version of the centrifugal fan, leaving all parts associated with the previous configuration of fan obsolete. The following parts will
no longer
be supported by TACOM and, if needed, units will have to order the centrifugal fan as its next higher assembly:
heat sink assembly, NSN 5999-01-286-8722
capacitor assembly, NSN 5910-01-288-2284
band suppression filter, NSN 5915-01-290-6482
power supply, NSN 6130-01-291-6272.
TM 3-4240-302-30&P-8, which supported the previous configuration of the fan, is pending cancellation. No replacement TM is needed as the new version of the fan is consumable.
